Think Outside the Box 4/6/2007

Wow, what a week! I am sitting in my hotel room remeniscing about the amazing week I have just spent at Photoshop World in Boston where I enjoyed classes taught by the best of the best in the industry like Scott Kelby, Bert Monroy, John Paul Caponigro, my good friends and fellow instructors at DLWS…Moose Peterson, Joe McNally and many more. Not only is it a great learning experience, it is a week filled with entertainment, networking and most of all inspiration. If you have never attended Photoshop World, I highly recommend it. Here is a link to the photo gallery from this week’s events. http://www.photoshopworld.com/gallery.html

Still high from the event tonight I headed out to the streets of Boston with Moose and Sharon to burn off some energy and let my creative juices flow. I made these two images from the top of the Prudential Building 50 floors above Boston. The first image is your basic city scape night scene but, it was not enough. I wanted to “think outside the box” and so came up with image #2 where I set my camera to a slow shutter speed and spun the camera in a cirlce while the shutter was open.

Both photos captured by D200, 28mm 1.4 on Lexar digital film
