My time at Bosque del Apache is nearly over. It’s been a wonderful adventure as always, with a great group of eager photographers who embraced the beauty and wonders that Bosque has to offer and soon filled card after card with images. It began with a famous Bosque sunrise early in the week as I was scouting…

The Snow Goose count was down but, that didn’t stop us from making the most of the encounters we had…

We made the most of low light situations by working on blur pans…

The Sandhill Cranes were the stars of the week…

I worked with fill flash in the pre-dawn hours…

A White-crowned Sparrow even paused for a photograph…

With one more day left to make some images I am sad to leave but look forward to next year at Beautiful Bosque del Apache.

For the last seven years I have been coming to Bosque del Apache to enjoy the spectacular Snow Goose and Sandhill Crane photography. Each year is different and each visit affords some great opportunities. I always look forward to exploring the refuge and sharing it with my group…

Our final DLWS event for 2009 has flown by. What a great way to end the year…in NYC with Joe picking the locations and were they ever great locations…

Times Square is filled with interesting people. I saw a wonderful gentleman with his Leica that I wanted to photograph so, I simply walked up to him and asked to take his portrait and he graciously said yes.

of course, a visit to Times Square wouldn’t be complete without the Naked Cowboy…
